Revelation of All Poesy

p3
“O let this cup pass from me,- yet not so, / Wait but a moment, I will drink it all, / And then come death!”

Fuller, Margaret. "Revelation of All Poesy." Boston Public Library Archives & Special Collections; MS Am. 1450; Box: 3, Folder: 137.

Inferred Fuller writes 'O let this cup pass from me,- yet not so' — the first clause is nearly verbatim from Christ's Gethsemane prayer in Matthew 26:39 (KJV: 'O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt'). She does not name the Bible or the Gospel. Both author and title are Inferred.
